NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with Idaho Pickleball in Prison. 

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Idaho Department of Correction through the Idaho Pickleball in Prison program!!

The IDOC web site has all the information you need to go through the application process. 

Here is some preliminary information: 

You will complete the online application process via the IDOC web site. 

You will need the following to complete your application: 

• Your driver's license. 

• The name of the IDOC site where you will apply to. 

  • Please contact your volunteer coordinator for that information; they will provide you the name of the facility site and the contact information for the facility Volunteer Services Coordinator at that site. 

Volunteer Application Process: 

• You will be applying as a Level 1 volunteer. 

• Complete and submit the New Volunteer Application online. 

• You will receive an email confirmation that your application has been received. 

• To inquire about the status of your application contact the Facility Volunteer Services Coordinator. 

• A background security check will be completed and your application will be reviewed. 

• If your application is approved, you will need to complete a mandatory New Volunteer Training session. 

• Once you complete that training, you will need to attend a Facility Orientation at the facility where you will be volunteering. 

Once all of the above is completed, you are ready to volunteer to teach pickleball and mentor facility residents.
